What is the difference between the Inogen models?
The Rove 6 and Rove 4 are the current models. The Rove 6 is built for performance: six pulse settings, up to 1,260 mL/min and up to 12 hours 45 minutes on the extended battery. The Rove 4 is built for portability: 2.9 lbs against 4.8 lbs, with four settings and up to 840 mL/min.
The G5 and G4 are the previous generation. The G5 is the earlier version of the Rove 6, and the G4 is the earlier version of the Rove 4. They use the same batteries and accessories as their newer counterparts, which is why many long-time users still know them by those names.
So the choice comes down to one question: do you need more output and runtime, or the lightest unit you can carry?
Can I use this while I sleep?
The Rove 6 delivers pulse dose oxygen only, meaning it releases a dose when it senses you breathe in. Some people are prescribed continuous flow for sleep, and a pulse dose unit is not a substitute for that. Check your night-time prescription with your doctor before ordering, or call us and we will go through it with you.
What if I am not sure which concentrator is right for me?

How many hours are on the unit?
Every certified pre-owned unit is different, so we do not publish a single figure. Call us and we will tell you the exact hours on the units we have in stock today, along with the battery condition, before you commit to anything.
Is Vital Care USA an authorized retailer?
Yes. We are an authorized Inogen dealer. Every unit carries authentic U.S. serial numbers and full warranty coverage. Unauthorized sellers can leave you with a grey-market device and no protection.
Do I need a prescription, and where do I send it?
Yes. U.S. law requires a valid prescription for most portable oxygen concentrators. You can email it to support@vitalcareusa.com, or your doctor can fax or email it directly. If you do not have a copy to hand, we will contact your doctor's office and retrieve it for you after the order is placed. Your order ships as soon as we have it.
Does insurance or Medicare cover this?
Medicare classifies portable oxygen concentrators as convenience items, so it does not approve them for purchase. Coverage is normally tied to in-network rental programs instead. Some private plans reimburse part of the cost after purchase with the right documentation, and we can tell you what to ask your insurer. Most customers buy privately for full ownership and the freedom to travel.
Can I pay with HSA or FSA funds?
Yes. Portable oxygen concentrators are generally HSA and FSA eligible when you have a prescription. Check the rules with your plan administrator, and keep your receipt and prescription for reimbursement.

What if it does not work for me?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it. Call us and we will start the return and walk you through it. If the unit turns out not to suit your prescription we would rather sort that out than have you keep something that does not work for you.
