Frequently Asked Questions

What products does Vital Care USA sell?

We carry a full range of mobility and respiratory equipment for everyday independence:

  • Mobility scooters from Pride Mobility, Golden Technologies, EV Rider, and Featherweight, including travel scooters, 3-wheel, 4-wheel, and heavy-duty models.
  • Power wheelchairs from Pride Mobility and ComfyGo, including folding and airline-friendly designs.
  • Lift chairs and recliners from Pride Mobility and Golden Technologies, in 2-position, 3-position, and infinite-position styles.
  • Portable oxygen concentrators from Inogen, ARYA, and O2 Concepts.

Everything we sell is brand new and authorized, sourced directly from the manufacturer. If you are not sure what fits your situation, call us at (712) 471-1677 and a specialist will walk you through it.

How much does this equipment cost?

Pricing depends on the category. Travel scooters and folding power chairs typically start in the low four figures, lift chairs vary by size and position count, and portable oxygen concentrators are priced by flow setting and battery capacity.

Because we buy direct from Pride Mobility, Golden Technologies, Inogen, and our other manufacturer partners at high volume, our pricing is among the most competitive available from any authorized dealer.

If you have seen a lower price elsewhere, it may be a refurbished, imported, or discontinued unit listed as "new." If you are comparing a genuine U.S. model from a brand we carry, send it over and we will review it and match or beat it whenever possible.

Does Medicare or insurance cover this equipment?

Coverage varies quite a bit by product type:

  • Scooters and power wheelchairs may qualify as durable medical equipment under Medicare Part B when a doctor documents that they are medically necessary for use inside the home. That process runs through a Medicare-enrolled supplier and usually means a longer wait and less model choice.
  • Lift chairs are only partially covered. Medicare may reimburse a portion of the seat lift mechanism, but never the chair, fabric, or recline features.
  • Portable oxygen concentrators are generally classified as convenience items and are typically not approved for direct purchase through Part B.

Vital Care USA sells direct to you and does not bill Medicare on your behalf. Many customers choose to buy outright to get the exact model they want, delivered in days instead of months. Some private plans and HSA or FSA accounts allow reimbursement after purchase, and we are happy to tell you exactly what to ask your insurer and what paperwork to request from us.

What financing options are available?

We offer flexible financing across every category we sell, from scooters and lift chairs to power wheelchairs and oxygen concentrators.

You can apply instantly at checkout through Shop Pay Installments, PayPal Credit, or Affirm, with fast approvals, no paperwork, and clear monthly payment amounts shown before you commit.

Financing makes it easy to get the right equipment now instead of waiting on an approval process or settling for a lesser model.

Do I need a prescription?

Mobility scooters, power wheelchairs, and lift chairs do not require a prescription when you purchase them directly from us.

Some oxygen concentrator models do require one. If yours does, you can email it to support@vitalcareusa.com. If you do not have it handy, we can contact your doctor's office and help retrieve it after your order is placed.

How do I choose the right scooter or power wheelchair?

It comes down to four things: where you will use it, how far you need to travel, how it gets transported, and your weight capacity requirement.

  • Travel and folding models such as the Featherweight and ComfyGo chairs disassemble or fold into a car trunk and are ideal for errands, travel, and airports.
  • 3-wheel scooters give you a tighter turning radius for indoor use and store aisles.
  • 4-wheel scooters offer more stability outdoors, on grass, and on uneven pavement.
  • Heavy-duty models from Pride Mobility and Golden Technologies handle higher weight capacities and longer daily range.

Call (712) 471-1677 and we will match a model to your height, weight, terrain, and transport situation in a few minutes.

How do I pick the right lift chair size and position type?

Size is based on your height and weight, so a petite, medium, large, or extra-wide model will feel very different even within the same series. Getting this right matters more than any other spec.

  • 2-position chairs recline to a TV-watching angle. Best for light use.
  • 3-position chairs recline nearly flat for napping.
  • Infinite-position chairs move the back and footrest independently, allowing a full lay-flat or zero-gravity position, and are the usual choice for all-day or overnight comfort.

Golden Technologies and Pride Mobility both offer heat and massage options as well. Tell us your height, weight, and how many hours a day you will spend in the chair and we will narrow it down for you.

What is the difference between pulse flow and continuous flow oxygen?

Portable oxygen concentrators deliver oxygen in two ways: pulse dose or continuous flow.

  • Pulse flow delivers oxygen only when you inhale, which allows for longer battery life and lighter designs. Most Inogen and ARYA models, including the Rove 6, ARYA Mini, ARYA Q, and Airtivo Max, use pulse-dose delivery.
  • Continuous flow provides a steady stream measured in liters per minute (LPM). Some O2 Concepts models, such as the Oxlife Independence, offer both pulse and continuous flow for users who need nighttime or higher-flow support.

If you are unsure which type you need, our team can help match the right device to your prescription and lifestyle.

How fast is shipping, and is delivery included?

Most in-stock scooters, power wheelchairs, and oxygen concentrators ship within 1 to 2 business days, with free standard shipping to the lower 48 states.

Scooters and power chairs arrive ready to use with minimal assembly, usually just attaching the seat and charging the battery. Lift chairs ship freight and typically arrive within 1 to 3 weeks depending on the fabric and model selected, since many are built to order.

We will give you a realistic delivery window before you order, not an optimistic one.

What warranty and after-sale support do I get?

Every product we sell carries the full manufacturer warranty, since we are an authorized dealer for each brand we carry. Coverage varies by product, and typically includes multi-year or lifetime frame coverage on mobility products and separate terms on drive trains, electronics, and batteries.

If something goes wrong, you contact us, not a call center. We help coordinate parts, service, and warranty claims directly with the manufacturer.

Reach us at (712) 471-1677 or support@vitalcareusa.com, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Can I speak to someone before I buy?

Yes, and we recommend it. Most customers are buying this type of equipment for the first time, and a five minute call usually saves a costly return.

Our specialists will ask about your height, weight, mobility level, home layout, and how you plan to transport the equipment, then recommend the best fit. There is no pressure and no obligation.
