Protekt® Supreme Support Self-Adjusting Air/Foam Mattress
The Protekt Supreme Support from Proactive Medical is a bariatric pressure relief mattress system designed to actively redistribute and relieve pressure for bariatric patients while in bed, which helps to ensure comfort, support, and safety. The mattress is made with an innovative pressure system that implements 10 air cells with interconnecting pressure valves that are designed to maintain consistent pressure and redistribute weight in response to patient movement or shifting. This active pressure redistribution helps to maintain a high degree of body surface contact with the mattress, which in turn relieves pressure. In this way, the mattress maintains patient comfort while also helping to prevent pressure sores and other sources of pain and discomfort associated with extended time in bed.
- The Protekt® Supreme Support utilizes a series of 10 interconnected air cells and pressure valves to continually equalize pressure in response to patient movement and position changes. The Equalization Technology automatically redistributes weight to relieve pressure by increasing body surface contact.
- The top foam layer of Visco Gel Polymer Technology (VGPT™) is an open cell visco memory foam infused with gel polymers. This VGPT™ provides rapid heat dissipation, excellent pressure redistribution and vastly increases breathability compared to traditional foam.
- The sloped heel section reduces pressure and increases blood circulation by redistributing the load from the heel to the less vulnerable lower leg.
- Stretch nylon top cover is fluid resistant, anti-microbial/anti-bacterial, breathable and fire retardant.
- The optional alternating pressure pump easily converts the Protekt® Supreme Support to a dynamic powered air mattress.
